Surf Coaches

Our surf coaches have been surfing for years and they have all the knowledge and experience to help you enjoy your time surfing with us. They will be available at any time during your lessons to offer help, advice and guidance whilst continually patrolling the group to make sure everyone is safe during the lessons.

“Hi Dan, thanks for an amazing day surfing yesterday. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Thanks again, Katie and all the girls".

My name is Daniel Hart and I am the owner and head surf coach at Progress Surf School.

I love surfing and I try to get in the sea every time the waves are good...in Swansea this means I surf nearly every day!

I started teaching surfing lessons because I enjoy seeing people's faces when they first catch a wave or stand up for the first time. I also became a surf coach because teaching surfing gives me the perfect excuse to be at the beach every day enjoying the waves with my customers.

Stuart Beale

   Surf Coach

I am 31 years of age and I have been surfing since I was 11 years old. As soon as I got in the water for the first time I fell in love with surfing and I have travelled all over the world to pursue my favourite sport and score the best surfing conditions.

Teaching surfing was the perfect opportunity to use the skills and techniques I have learnt over the years and I am able to see what my customers are doing right or wrong during the lessons and this helps to improve their technique more quickly.

Joseph Storer-Martin

           Surf Coach

My name is Joe and I have been teaching surfing lessons for Progress Surf School for 2 years. I am currently studying in Swansea University so surfing gives me the opportunity to carry on surfing whilst earning some money to fund my studies. I love surfing in Swansea because there are a variety of waves to suit all levels of ability and the surf spots are all close by.
